About

What can you expect in supervision?

  • A Warm & Safe Alliance and Attunement: I am always concerned first and foremost with how I work relationally with EFT supervisees, ensuring their emotional safety within the supervision process. My hope is the supervision process will model how EFT Practitioners build, maintain, and repair attuned therapeutic alliances with clients so that supervisees can provide the same safety with their clients.
  • Conceptualization from an EFT frame: I help supervisees with the acquisition and understanding of EFT theory and knowledge about the problems our clients experience and the antidotes that the EFT process offers. This includes review and integration of materials from EFT trainings.
  • Experiential Learning and Application: Learning EFT is about “building muscle memory” through in-vivo practical application. At times this will happen in a spontaneous conversation, and at other times through explicit role play of client-therapist.
  • Self-of-Therapist Support: I want to support supervisees in understanding how their own emotional experiences operate in their clinical work, in ways that both help and hinder effectiveness, and how to work authentically and with integrity.  This can mean identifying therapist emotional blocks to fully utilizing skills and concepts, working together to resolve those blocks, and/or identifying resources for the therapist's ongoing support and growth.
